Use this page to book our hall

The FNMH is available for use by any community organisation in the Parish or for private functions, subject to prior booking with the Bookings Manager and complying with the Terms & Conditions which will be sent with a Booking Confirmation, the major points being listed below.

Hiring Fees

Single Session of 4 hours (Morning, Afternoon and Evening) ......................£35

Should additional time for set-up and clear-up be required (subject to availability) a charge of £10 is made for 1 hour prior and 1 hour after the booked session.
Any additional time to the above is charged at £10 per hour.
 
Booking for parties require a deposit of £50 to be paid at least 7 days prior to the event and the trustees reserve the right to require deposits for other types of event at their discretion.

Hall Facilities

Our hall has many facilities that are available for use to our hiree (some can not be used without prior arrangement -Mentioned below-)

  • Separate toilets men & women.
  • Disabled access & toilet.
  • Stage (Use must be declared on booking form.)
  • Stage Lighting & amp; PA System (Use by special arrangement & amp; subject to an extra charge)

Bookings Calender

This calender displays all events booked currently in the Hall 

Tips. If you wish, you can:

  • change the view to ‘Agenda’ (shows a listing), month or week: top right
  • navigate to any month or week: top left
  • print a page (‘Agenda’, month or week): top right
  • copy individual events direct to your own Google Calendar, if you have one: click on the event first
  • see the local Weather forecast for the current day and the next 3 days. Just look at today’s date: to the left of the date (and the same for the next 3 days) is a small square ‘weather’ box. Click on that box and a window opens with the weather forecast
  • save this page for immediate access from your computer, as a Favourite or Bookmark – just as you can do with any other website.

Booking Conditions

The person making the booking is responsible for:

  • complying with all safety and security arrangements. These are available inside the Hall
  • reading and complying with the Standard Conditions for the Public Premises Licence (PPL) and with the Performing Rights Society (PRS) license. Copies of both of these are on permanent display in the Hall
  • Alcohol can only be sold or supplied at events in the Hall licensed by a “Temporary Event Notice” (TEN). This TEN must be applied for at least 28 days before the event from Amber Valley Borough Council. The Village Hall has an allocation of 12 “Temporary Event Notices” in a 12 month period and the Hirer must confirm with the Hall Management Committee via the Bookings Manager, before applying that such a Notice is available for allocation. The cost of the Temporary Event Notice is £21 payable by the event organiser to AVBC
  • as the Person Responsible, undertaking to fully comply with the full Terms & Conditions of Hire (which will be sent to you by the Booking Manager with the booking confirmation), making adequate provision for Insurance Cover, and any Statutory Licenses
  • ensuring that any portable electrical appliances to be used on the premises have been tested and declared safe by a competent electrical engineer
  • ensuring that a working mobile telephone will be continuously available throughout the event to ensure prompt contact with the Emergency Services in the event of any emergency situation developing
  • arranging with the Bookings Manager for collection of the keys and their return the following day or alternative arrangements for access
  • to enable us to maintain our low hire rates, users are asked to leave the hall in a clean and tidy state for the next user and to dispose of any sacks of rubbish in the refuse bin provided outside the Hall
  • securing the Hall immediately on completion of the event
  • settling the invoice with the Hall Treasurer for appropriate hiring fees and deposit as shown below 1 month prior to the event. The Deposit will be returned no later than 14 days after the event subject to there being no claim for damage to the Hall property, or complaints of nuisance made by near neighbours.
  • the hire of the hall does not include the use of the stage unless this is requested at the time of booking and agreed by the Trustees.
